Skegness Town Council Stands With Ukraine

Skegness Town Council stands with the people of Ukraine and our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.

At the Council meeting held on Wednesday 2nd March 2022, Skegness Town Council agreed to sign the statement from the European Municipalities and Regions Statement which condemns the action being taken by Russia in Ukraine and also expresses support and solidarity to the people of Ukraine and those working in local and regional government in Ukraine.

How Can I Help?

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 leading UK aid charities, raising funds to quickly and effectively respond to overseas disasters. DEC Charities are in Ukraine and neighbouring countries meeting the needs of all refugees and displaced people. Donations can be made via their website:

Homes for Ukraine

This scheme offers a route to those who want to come to the UK who have someone here willing to provide them with a home. It will enable individuals, charities, community groups and businesses to volunteer accommodation and provide a route to safety for Ukrainians, and their immediate family members, forced to escape their homeland.
