Alma Avenue Play Area
Located on Alma Avenue, Skegness.
Facilities include:
Children's play area with swings, see-saw and a multi-unit.
Open grass areas with goal posts
Fitness trail
Beresford Field, Vine Walk and Coronation Walk
A 1255m linear tree-lined walk from Richmond Drive in the west (enter at side of 61 Richmond Drive opposite the Richmond Caravan Park) to Drummond Road in the east (enter between 104 and 106 Drummond Road), offering a quiet woodland walk with a wealth of mature trees providing a good bird life habitat.
A 329m spur goes south halfway down the walk through the car park of the Vine Hotel to Seacroft Drive.
The main footpath is tarmac although the spur south of the Vine Hotel is unmade.
Beresford Field is adjacent to Vine walk and can accessed via Beresford Avenue (enter at side of 118 Beresford Avenue). This provides a large area of open grass which can be used for casual sport and recreation.
Church Lane Play Area Winthorpe
Located on Church Lane, Winthorpe (off Roman Bank).
Facilities include:
Children's play area with muti-unit, swings and a roundabout
An open grass area with football posts
Multi use games area (MUGA)
Half pipe skate unit
Seating area
King George V Walk
A 1400m linear tree-lined walk running northwards from Burgh Road, starting alongside the western edge of Elizabeth Grove opposite the entrance to the Aldi Supermarket car park. At 900m along the path where the path turns left, a short link path to the right of 300m brings you out to West Way Triangle on Roman Bank. At the end of the walk a public footpath across fields of 280m links to Church Lane at the western edge of Winthorpe by St Mary's Church.
Tower Gardens Play Park
Skegness Town Council own the Tower Gardens Play Park on Rutland Road.
The Play Park includes a pirate ship and zip wire. It is also includes play equipment specifically designed to be used by people with special needs.
East Lindsey District Council maintain a number of parks and open spaces across the district, which involves cutting the grass, planting flowers, and trimming hedges. For more information please visit their website.
