JOB OPPORTUNITY - Community Cafe Supervisor

1393 annualised hours per annum (more worked in summer than winter)

Are you experienced at working in a Café? You will be working closely with our Café Manager to use your talents to build our new community café, Café Dansant, in the new Tower Gardens Pavilion.

This is not just a café but an essential part of developing our new community building to meet our business plan. You will be expected to assist in developing the business and to engaging with all parts of the community.

We have taken some bold decisions and require someone with initiative, energy and dedication to help deliver them.

About you

Enthusiastic and skilled in all aspects of operating a café. Someone who is prepared to take on any task and step up to supervise when the Manager is not there.

Confident to assist the manager with suppliers, stocks, building menus, and supervising seasonal staff. You need to be hands on in the café, able to cook/prepare menu items, meet people and help make the café a real community asset.

Flexible and able to work more hours in the summer season as well as school holidays, weekends and bank holidays to meet the demands of the job.

Rewards

We expect to pay a starting salary of £12,787 (1393 hrs x £9.18ph), rising to £13,038 after one year if you perform well.

29 days annual leave increasing to 33 days after 5 years (pro rata).

Contributory pension scheme.
