Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for Skegness

The referendum took place on 18th May 2023. The electorate voted in favour of East Lindsey District Council using the Skegness Neighbourhood Development Plan to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area.

The Town Council has been working on developing a NDP for Skegness since 2015 and has gone through various stages of consultation and evidence gathering. The Council has been guided by experts in the field and with help from local business and community organisations as well as members of the public now has a final version of the plan. The NDP has been examined by an independent planning inspector and recommended for referendum.

The final version of the Plan was approved by Skegness Town Council at it's meeting on Wednesday 7th September 2022. The plan was submitted to East Lindsey District Council who have arranged a date for the referendum to take place on 18th May 2023.
