Mayoral Engagements - June 2022

Thursday 2nd June 2022 – The Mayor presented the prizes at the 30th Meccano Exhibition held at the Embassy Theatre.

Saturday 4th June 2022 – Officially opened the Great British Bands event held on Lumley Road.

Saturday 4th June 2022 – Presented a long service certificate to a Volunteer who has worked in the Oxfam shop for 15 years.

Sunday 5th June 2022 – Met with representatives from the German side of the Skegness Twinning Association.

Monday 6th June – Attended a service at the Memorial Tree for members of the Twinning Association who have passed away.

Thursday 9th June 2022 – Attended the Skegness TEC Brilliance Awards at the Storehouse, where he gave an opening speech and helped to present the awards.

Monday 13th June 2022 – unveiled a bench at Birchwood Camping Site for the Fall Guys computer game.

Friday 17th June 2022- Appeared on BBC breakfast.

Saturday 18th June 2022 – Welcomed the cyclists on the LOROS Hospice bike ride from Leicester to Skegness.

Friday 24th June 2022 – Was present when Luke Douglas-Home set off on the next leg of his round Britain run collecting litter as he goes.

Sunday 26th June 2022 – Met the bikers on the Sunset to Sunrise bike tour after their overnight trip from Holyhead to Skegness.

Tuesday 28th June 2022 – Took part in a zoom event with the University of Plymouth Centre for Coastal Communities.

Wednesday 29th June 2022 – Watched local children from Greenwood Academies Trust schools perform "Best of British – A Platinum Jubilee Showcase Spectacular" at the Embassy Theatre.

Thursday 30th June 2022 – Helped to judge the Burgh le Marsh Council garden competition.
