Community Cafe Supervisor - minimum 16hrs per week

Starting at £10.82 per hour (Spinal point 3, with potential to progress to Spinal point 4 £11.01 per hour after 1 year if you perform well)

Hours – 16 hrs per week minimum, you must be flexible to work more than this when required.

Permanent all year round contract to start as soon as possible.

Are you experienced at working in a Café? You will be working closely with our Café Manager to assist with the running of Café Dansant.

You will need to hold the core principles of providing quality produce in a welcoming environment.

About you

Enthusiastic and skilled in all aspects of operating a café including food preparation. Someone who is prepared to take on any task and step up to supervise when the Manager is not there.

Confident to assist the manager with suppliers, stocks and supervising seasonal staff. You need to be hands on in the café, able to cook/prepare menu items, bake cakes (or be willing to learn), meet people and help make the café a real community asset.

Flexible and able to work more hours in the summer season as well as school holidays, weekends and bank holidays to meet the demands of the job.

Part Time Finance Officer 21hrs per week (Maternity Cover)

Are you a person who can hit the ground running and be comfortable in joining our busy, but friendly team, to handle our finances and payroll? This is a temporary position of 21 hours per week covering maternity leave. It is anticipated that cover will be required for 10 months but this will depend on when the post holder returns.

About you

Comfortable and knowledgeable about accountancy and payroll, including the use of IT systems.

You will be responsible for:

  • Income and Expenditure (£0.5m plus)
  • Preparing and running payroll including PAYE and Pensions
  • Entering all financial information on to the Council's Finance System
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparing invoices and chasing debts
  • Submitting VAT and PAYE returns to HMRC
  • Maintaining staff leave records

You will be expected to work Friday, but the balance of hours can be worked flexibly by negotiation.

Rewards

The pay will be based on your experience and knowledge but for the right candidate up to £15.27 per hour is available. Leave is 32 days (including bank holidays) pro-rata. There is also a contributory pension scheme available.

The job is based at Tower Gardens Pavilion, Skegness (free parking).
