Grounds Maintenance Operative - Part Time

We wish to recruit a Part Time Grounds Maintenance Operative – 1036 hrs on a Permanent Annualised Hours contract.

Salary: £8,952 rising to £9,537 from 1st April 2019 (£8.64 rising to £9.21 per hour from 1st April 2019) based on Spinal point 2.

Job Summary: – Maintenance of Tower Gardens. You will also support events in Tower Gardens and will be a key holder for the proposed Tower Gardens Community Building you may also be required to assist with other grounds maintenance in the Town Council's cemetery and other sites in and around Skegness.

You will work within a small, friendly team but the majority of your time will be spent lone working in Tower Gardens undertaking physically demanding work out of doors in all weathers. A friendly and approachable person is required as you will be the face of the Council within the gardens. You will need to be flexible in your working pattern, the post involves you working much longer hours in spring/summer to meet the demands of the job, including evenings and weekends and far fewer hours in the autumn/winter totalling 1036 hours across the year. You will be expected to take leave during less busy times, avoiding spring/summer peak times. Your pay will be evenly distributed across the year, meaning you will get regular monthly pay into your account throughout the year.

Expected Start Date – Mid March 2019
