MAYOR OF SKEGNESS
Mayor's Charity: F.S.N.B.F

Rita and I are looking forward to the forthcoming year as Mayor and Mayoress and promise to represent and to promote Skegness to the best of our ability.

When I retired from the Fire Service Rita and I decided to move to Skegness where we had spent many happy visits and had enjoyed the bracing weather and holiday facilities.

This was one of the best decisions we had ever made because whilst everyone likes to come here for holidays we never expected the warm welcome we received from our neighbours and soon made many new friends.

The reason for becoming a Councillor was so that I could continue with my commitment to serving the public after my Fire Service career. It was the proudest day of my life when members of the Town Council elected us to serve as Mayor & Mayoress for 2008/9 Mayoral year and we look forward to carrying out the Mayoral duties to the best of our ability.

Mayors Charity. F.S.N.B.F.
The Fire Service National Benevolent Fund was born as bombs rained down across the country during the dark days of the Second World War. Under dangerous harrowing circumstances the members of the Auxiliary and National Fire Service fought daily to save lives, businesses and homes. Unfortunately many paid the ultimate price leaving behind widows and orphans with no means of support. The fund’s first priority was to help them.

Alternatively if you would like to hold a coffee morning or other fundraising event to help my charity Rita and I would only be to attend please contact the Town Hall with the details.

We look forward to hearing from you and working with you in the forthcoming year and also wish the Jolly Fisherman a very happy 100th Birthday. Please join us for Jolly's Birthday Party on 27th July in the Tower Gardens.

Cllr Neil Pimperton (Town Mayor)
